Our beginning...Vada Bullock ~Founder & President Emeritus
Empire State Bible Clubs had its beginning in the the mid-1970's in Sullivan County, New York. Vada Bullock was leading the children's ministry at Days of Decision Bible Conference in the Catskills. She wanted to reach children in public schools, so she formed ESBC to provide Bible Clubs and released time classes in the local schools during the week. Children were also able to attend a one week summer camp led by ESBC volunteers.
In 1981, Empire State Bible Clubs, Inc. was incorporated as a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization. A Board of Directors was formed to guide the operation of ESBC. In the following year, Vada moved to Ontario, NY. With the support of local churches and volunteers, released time classes and after school Bible Clubs were established in the schools of Wayne and Monroe Counties. ESBC has ministered in this area continuously for over thirty five years.
Vada is a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, earning a Certificate of Biblical Studies. She also graduated from Liberty University, Lynchburg, VA, with a Diploma in Biblical Studies. Vada has also been a Sunday School Superintendent, Vacation Bible School director and Christian Camp director. Leading children to the Lord Jesus Christ has been her life's mission for the past fifty years.
In 2013, at the age of 90, Vada stepped down as President and turned the operation of ESBC over to Mary Decker. Mary has many years of experience with ESBC and a genuine love for Jesus Christ and the children that He loves so dearly.

NOVEMBER 2019
The 2019-2020 Bible clubs have begun. Returning kids are excited to be back and the new students have settled in! We're looking forward to a great year with a wonderful group of kids that are attending the clubs.
AUGUST 2019
Wayne County Fair - We set up a booth at the Wayne County Fair again this year. This is always a wonderful outreach for us. It is so great to see all the families come through and the children can play games and win prizes at our booth. We planned on marching in the Wayne County parade, but there was so much rain, that we decided sit it out and we will march in the Canal Town days in September!
MAY 2019
For the 2018-2019 school year, Bible Clubs were held at Newark Kelley, Newark Lincoln, Newark Perkins & Marion Elementary, Webster Klem North and Webster State Road, .
We were able to help financially send 9 kids to the week long summer camp at Ontario Bible Camp. We are so thankful for those that contribute to this ministry, both their time and financially. We could not do what we do without the donations and also God's people willing to volunteer their time.
OCTOBER 2018
Clubs are underway. This year clubs are being held for students from Newark Perkins, Newark Lincoln, Newark Kelley, Marion Elementary, Webster Klem North and Webster State Rd. The kids are happy Bible club started up again!. They enjoy coming to the clubs as we have snack, do a lesson, sing and play games.
SEPTEMBER 2018
Preperations for Bible Clubs to begin are now underway. We currently have 3 Clubs set to begin the first week of October. Additional Clubs will begin the first week of November and we currently have one that will begin in January. We will add Clubs as we are able to supply the teachers and helpers for them.
AUGUST 2018
Wayne County Fair - We set up a booth at the Wayne County Fair again this year. Hundreds of people came to our booth and we were able to share the Gospel with them. We also had many students sign up for our after school Bible Clubs and/or our mailbox club. An added bonus was that we won the blue ribbon for our booth!
JULY 2018
Our ESBC President, Mary L. Decker went to be with the Lord after a long bout with cancer. Mary was a faithful Christian woman whom everyone loved. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. We can only find comfort in knowing we will see her again someday in Heaven.
